A Coruña and its metropolitan area stand out for the strength of the ICT business sector, as it concentrates about 700 companies (27% of the total in Galicia) and generates more than 7,200 jobs (40% of employment in the sector).
Of the 2,643 million euros of ICT turnover in Galicia, more than half is concentrated in the province of A Coruña, with the metropolitan area being the main pole of business concentration.
Companies in the ICT sector are in a phase of expansion, both from a technological and business point of view, with positive growth prospects in the coming years.
Furthermore, the ICT knowledge and research system in A Coruña stands out for its leadership, promoted by the University of A Coruña and its Innova Campus and the existence of specialised research and technology centres.
